Wonder of the Season

Wonder of the Season

Inspiration

Welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday. The design team is sharing more beautiful Christmas creations, so be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations blog.

And the winner of the Christmas Cheer Collection is announced this morning too, so be sure to check out who the lucky crafter is today!

I know it's early, but I'm getting in the Christmas spirit already - starting to think about decorating the tree, starting that gift list, planning how to get the 150 cards made and mailed in early December, etc., etc., etc.

So, you'll be seeing some of the cards I'm trying out - since I have to "mass-produce", I have to have some simple designs! The new Christmas Cheer Collection offers the chance to design intricate or simple cards.

Today's simple card features two new stamp sets - the Poinsettia Ornament 2 set, and a sentiment from the Dove of Peace set.

Instructions

ORNAMENT

Stamp the ornament on vanilla card stock in brown ink, and color with makers. Embellish with adhesive gems. Trim it closely. Punch a hole in the top of the ornament, and string green embroidery floss about 4 1/2" long through the hole.

SENTIMENT

Cut a rectangle of vanilla card stock measuring 2 1/4" x 3". Stamp the sentiment in green ink in the upper right corner, and "doodle" a decorative border around the edge.

ASSEMBLY

Cut a strip of red card stock measuring 1 1/4" x 5", and green measuring 1/2" x 3".Cut the patterned paper to 3 7/8" x 8 7/8". Mount the red strip about 1 3/4" down from the top of the mat, and add the sentiment panel and green strip on the right. Attach the ornament using foam tape, and attach the embroidery floss to the back of the mat with a little tape. The base card is made from green card stock cut to 8" x 9", scored at 4", and folded. Mount the matted image to the front of the card.

Thanks for stopping by!
