Merry Christmas with Love

Merry Christmas, everyone! Here is the Christmas card I made for my dear husband. I cased a lovely card by Fracie G., and gave it a very simple senitment - just "I love you". That says it all.

Note: Finished card size: 5 3/4" x 5 3/4"

Riding Hood Red (SU!)5 3/4" x 11 1/2"; scored at 5 3/4"
Wild Wasabi (SU!)5 1/2" x 5 1/2", and
4" x 4"
Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink)5 5/8" x 5 5/8", and
5 3/8" x 5 3/8", and
5" x 5", and
3" x 3"

Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Wild Wasabi (SU!)

HCPC 3339: Elegant Holly Swirls (Heartfelt Creations)
Signature Greetings (Papertrey Ink)

Fleur de Lis Rectangle Nestabilities (Spellbinders)
Bella Rose Die (Heartfelt Creations)
Cuttlebug (Provo Craft)
COPIC Markers (Imagination International)
SPICA Glitter Pens (Imagination International)
Adhesive Gems (Recollections)
Zip Dry Glue
3-D Foam Squares (Scrapbook Adhesives)
ATG (3M)
Rotary Trimmer (Fiskars)

Cut a piece of red card stock measuring 5 3/4" x 11 1/2", score at 5 3/4" and fold. Add a mat of white card stock measuring 5 5/8" x 5 5/8", and a mat of green card stock measuring 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

Cut a piece of white card stock measuring 5 3/8" x 5 3/8". Use a scoring tool, and score 1/2" increments diagonally across the body of the square. Mount this onto the front of the card. Cut/emboss the rose leaf swirl from green card stock and mount in the lower left corner of the white mat.

Cut/emboss the large Fleur de Lis rectangle out of white card stock. Stamp the sentiment in green in the center of the rectangle. Mount onto the front of the card using foam squares.

Stamp the holly image on white card stock in black ink, and color with COPIC markers. I used YG61, YG63, and YG67 on the leaves, and R35 adn R37 on the berries. Glue the image onto the upper right corner of the sentiment mat. Enhance the holly image with stickles - Burgundy on the berries, and Frosted Lace on the swirls. As the final touch, add a red gemstone at the base of each fleur de lis around the rectangle.

And a Very Merry Christmas

Joe and I are enjoying a quiet day together today; we hope you are enjoying your favorite tradition for this holy holiday. We wish you a safe and merry Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lisa, what a pretty card. I really like how you placed the swirls under the die cut.
