Church Invitation

Inspiration

This is my second Heartfelt Creations card this week (I have 4 on the Heartfelt Creations blog).Be sure to come back every day through Saturday to see all the cards with instructions, as always.

I love the chapel images in the the last two HC releases. This one is from the Chateau Gate Collection combined with the crosses from the Floral Cross Collection. I thought it would make a pretty wedding or Christening invitation. I used a monochromatic color scheme - I think it turned out to be quite elegant!

Instructions

BASE CARD

Cut a piece of brown card stock measuring 7" x 10", score it at 5", and fold.

MAT and SENTIMENT

Cut the patterned paper using a deckled blade, measuring 4 7/8" x 6 7/8". Cut/emboss a Ribbon Tag from brown paper, string ribbon through the tag and mount at the bottom of the mat. Cut a piece of white card stock measuring 7/8" x 2 1/4". Stamp the sentiment in brown ink, and glue the white card stock to the brown ribbon tag. Mount the mat layer on the front of the card. Finish with a brown pearl in the center of the top of tag, and 3 small white pearls on each side of the brown pearl.

CROSS

Stamp the plain cross in brown ink on brown paper. Cut/emboss it using the matching die. Cut/emboss brown card stock using the large cross die. Cut a plain large cross from the patterned paper (I stamped the matching cross stamp on the BACK of the patterned paper, and cut it out), and mount it onto the large brown cross die cut. Use a sponge to apply brown ink on the edges of the large cross. Glue the large cross in the upper right corner of the mat layer. Mount the small cross in the center of the large cross, and finish with a brown pearl in the center of the small cross.

CHURCH IMAGE

Cut/emboss a brown scalloped circle, and cut/emboss a white scalloped circle just smaller than the brown. Stamp the image in brown ink in the center of the white circle. Adhere the white circle to the center of the brown circle, and mount these to the right of the cross with foam squares.

Thanks for stopping by!
