Instructions

BASE CARD and MAT

Cut a piece of brown card stock measuring 5 1/2" x 11", score at 5 1/2" and fold. Using a deckled blade, cut designer paper to measure 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

IMAGE

Cut/emboss the 5" Grand Label 11 from cream card stock, and stamp the image in brown ink in the middle of the label die cut. Use a W1 COPIC marker around image to create the shadow. Stamp it again on another piece of card stock. Cut the guitar out of the second image. Stamp the hat and boot from the Birch Tree set in brown ink on cream card stock. Use the matching dies, cut these out. Color with COPIC markers; I used these colors:

  • GUITAR: YR21, YR24, E25
  • HAT: Y21, Y26
  • BOOT: E21, E25, Chocolate SPICA pen

Mount the guitar, hat, and boot onto the matching images using foam squares. Sponge the edges of the label die cut using the Vintage Photo ink.

SENTIMENT

Cut/emboss the ribbon tag, and stamp the sentiment in brown ink on the tag die cut. Stamp 2 horseshoes in brown ink, and cut them out using the matching die. Color the 2 horseshoes with the W1 COPIC marker, and highlight the dots with the Chocolate SPICA pen.

Cut three 6" lengths of the Hemp cord, and string them through the ribbon tag. Put adhesive on the back of the tag, and mount it in the center top of the mat, using tape on the back to hold the strings in place. Glue the 2 horseshoes above the sentiment. Loop hemp cord, and wrap it to look like a lasso. Glue the lasso to the right of the sentiment. Lastly, mount the main image below the sentiment tag.

Thanks for stopping by!
