Flowers And Butterflies

Inspiration

Here's my second design team project for Heartfelt Creations this week using the Old English Garden Collection stamps. I love the background stamps that are in this collection - so perfect for creating vintage or worn looks!

Instructions

BASE CARD

Cut a piece of green card stock measuring 7" x 10", score at 5", and fold.

MAT

Cut red card stock to measure 4 3/4" x 6 3/4". Cut the patterned paper using a deckled blade to measure 4 1/2" x 6 1/2". Color the edges of the patterned paper with a blending tool and light brown ink, and mount it on the red mat.

Cut/emboss light blue card stock using the smallest Grand Label 4 die. Stamp the cinder block background all over the die cut using light blue ink. Add color to the edges with the same ink and blending tool. Mount on the lower left corner of the patterned paper mat. Glue a strip of ribbon around the mat stack, then mount the stack to the front of the card.

IMAGE

Stamp the image on ivory paper with waterproof brown ink. Cut/emboss the image using the largest Label 4 die. Color the image with markers, and add sparkle to the blooms with SPICA markers.

Color the edges with the blending tool and the same brown ink used on the patterned mat. Mount the die cut on top of the blue mat and ribbon on the front of the card.

Stamp the butterfly on orange paper in orange ink, trim closely, and color with SPICA markers. Glue the body and right wing of the butterfly above the image. Finish with a double bow mounted on the ribbon strip to the right of the image.

Thanks for stopping by!
