Chalkboard Rose

Inspiration

Here's another card created with the new Heartfelt Creations Bella Rose release. The solid images in the "Bold Bella Rose" set are perfect for the chalkboard technique. I learned this one on Splitcoast Stampers - in fact the first card I ever posted on SCS was a chalkboard card! Check out the tutorial for the technique.

Here's my card.

Instructions

Image

Cut and emboss a Label 10 die from black paper. Create a mask for the rose image using the Post-it Note. Stamp the rose image in white ink on the black label, mask it, then stamp the leaf spray in white ink overlapping the rose image. Using cotton swabs, color the white images with the chalks. Spread glue around the edge of the black label diecut, and apply glitter.

Assembly

Cut a white panel, and emboss it with the flourish embossing plate. Round the corners of the card, and the embossed white panel. Adhere a strip of ribbon around the center of the white panel, and mount it on the card front. Mount the image near the top of the white panel. Tie a bow, and mount it at the bottom of the image.
