Poinsettia Thanks

A really great set of stamps is one you can use over and over. The Poinsettia Spray set from the Heartfelt Creations' Christmas Cheer Collection is one of those sets. These two cards are made with the two stamps in the set - using the same techniques and colors, just with two different embossing folders and sizes.

The instructions that follow are specific to the thank you card, but both cards use the same ingredients and methods, with only small differences.

Emboss a piece of white card stock measuring 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" using an embossing folder to create a frame for the image. Stamp the poinsettia image using black ink inside the frame, and the sentiment in red ink below the poinsettia image. Stamp the image 2 more times on additional white paper. From one of these, cut out the entire poinsettia. From the second image, cut out center poinsettia image. Color the images with COPIC markers: Leaves - G21; Posies - R0000, R000, peach SPICA; Poinsettia - R02, R05, R08, Y08.

For the base card, cut red card stock measuring 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2", and fold. Use a corner rounder punch to round all 4 corners. Round all 4 corners of the white image panel, too. Mount the image panel to the front of the card. Mount the layers of poinsettias onto the base image using foam squares. Finish with a drop of liquid pearls in the center of each posie. Mount yellow gems in the center of the poinsettia using the heated tool.

Thanks for stopping by!
