Dove of Peace

Inspiration

I'm trying to break out of my "red and green" for Christmas card habit - here's a color scheme that still says "winter" to me, with the best Christmas message you can send. This card uses the Dove of Peace PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations.

Instructions

CARD

Cut the base card from deep purple cardstock measuring 7" x 10", score at 5", and fold. Cut a mat layer from the designer paper to 4 7/8" x 6 7/8" and adhere to the front of the card. Stamp the sentiment in deep purple ink in the upper left corner of the card.

TRIM

Cut 2 strips of deep purple cardstock measuring 1 1/2" x 7". Run one through the die cutter using the Parisian accents border die. Adhere the uncut strip across the middle of the card, followed by the die cut border along the lower edge of the first strip.

IMAGE

Cut/emboss a Parisian Motif circle from the light pink paper. Apply rose Inka-Gold paint to the embossed patterned of the die cut using a sponge. Stamp the dove image in cocoa ink on white paper. Use the matching Christmas Cheer die to cut out the dove, then enhance dove image with a SPICA pen - I used the "sand" color. Mount the embossed pink circle die cut using foam tape on the right of the card front, followed by the dove image. Finish by creating a full bow, and mount to the left of the image.

Thanks for stopping by!
